As a growing business with a strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement, we're looking for an experienced Shift Technician to join our high-performing Maintenance team at our Stapylton manufacturing facility.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on up-to-date, high-speed manufacturing equipment while playing a critical role in keeping production running safely and efficiently.

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance and reliability of our production equipment across a 24/7 manufacturing operation.

You'll work closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, minimise downtime and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

This role offers exposure to a diverse range of bottling, packaging, blow moulding and automated production equipment within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimise production downtime
- Complete preventative and planned maintenance activities
- Diagnose and rectify faults across mechanical, electrical and automated equipment
- Support equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Maintain maintenance records, work orders and spare parts inventory




- Work closely with Production teams to maximise equipment performance and uptime
- Coordinate maintenance contractors as required
- Promote safe work practices and compliance with food safety and quality standards
- Contribute to a positive team culture focused on safety, accountability and continuous improvement

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Fitter or similar trade

- Experience working within FMCG, food manufacturing, beverage manufacturing, packaging or automated production environments
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilities
- Experience maintaining high-speed manufacturing equipment
- Exposure to PLC-controlled equipment, pneumatics and hydraulics
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced 24/7 manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality and continuous improvement

Highly Regarded

- Queensland Electrical Licence or electrical disconnect/reconnect experience
- Experience with bottling, packaging, blow moulding, filling, conveying or palletising equipment
- Experience within beverage or food manufacturing environments

Work Pattern





This position operates on a rotating 12-hour shift roster supporting our 24/7 manufacturing operation.

- Work 7 shifts (84 hours) per fortnight
- Day Shift: 6:00am - 6:00pm

This roster provides regular extended periods away from work while offering the stability of permanent full-time employment.
