YWCA Australia is currently seeking a multiple Accommodation Workers to provide practical, non-medical support to guests from rural and remote areas accessing hospital treatment, including assistance with accommodation and daily needs.

About the team

The Medical Accommodation Program Team supports the provision of comfortable lodging for people traveling to Darwin for medical appointments or treatment. We operate two accommodation facilities: Barbara James House and Doctor Helen Phillips Cottages. Learn more about our services here.

About this opportunity

As an Accommodation Worker you will:

- Manage reservations, check-ins/outs, and assist with guest enquiries.

- Assist with accommodation admin tasks and help guests organize travel plans.

- Monitor guest activity and perform First Aid/Fire Warden duties if needed.

- Help housekeeping and kitchen teams with cleaning, laundry, and food service tasks.

- Operate the kiosk, handle stock and payments,



and assist with event setup.

About You

As a great candidate you will:

- Communicate professionally and respectfully with guests and colleagues; work independently and collaboratively.

- Demonstrate respect for cultural diversity and social differences in a socially inclusive environment.
- Show initiative, creativity, and effective problem-solving skills in daily tasks.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Hold or be willing to obtain First Aid and Food Safety certificates, NT Driver’s Licence, Criminal History Check, and a valid Working with Children/Vulnerable People check.
