Just Foodies Pty Ltd T/A Chatora is seeking experienced and dedicated full-time Chef and Cook professionals to join our team in Geelong West, Victoria. These roles are critical to maintaining our high standards of food quality, kitchen operations, and customer satisfaction.

CHEF – Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Plan and develop menus, including creating and updating dishes to meet customer preferences and seasonal availability.
- Prepare, season, and cook authentic Indian cuisine to a consistently high standard.
- Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Supervise, train, and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Estimate food requirements, order supplies, and manage inventory and stock control.
- Monitor food and labour costs and implement measures to minimise wastage.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Develop new recipes and maintain consistency in food quality and presentation.

COOK – Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian dishes in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
- Prepare ingredients, including cutting, marinating, portioning, and cooking food for service.




- Ensure meals are prepared and presented consistently to restaurant standards.
- Monitor food quality and maintain appropriate portion control.
- Receive, store, and rotate stock in accordance with food safety requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Assist with stock control and report ingredient requirements to the Chef.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures.

Selection Criteria

- Relevant commercial cookery qualification or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in the nominated occupation.
- Robust knowledge of Indian cuisine and commercial kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays.

Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 plus Superannuation (depending on qualifications and experience)
Employment Type: Full-time (38 hours per week)
