Create the Voice That Brings the Mission to Life
Establish and grow ICOVE’s communications function from the ground up, developing the national brand voice and creating engaging communications that connect communities, build relationships, and showcase nationally significant work.
Here's What You'll Be Working On
- Develop and implement ICOVE's communications and media strategy to support organisational priorities and national engagement.
- Establish a consistent, culturally respectful brand and communications presence across digital, media, and stakeholder channels.
- Create engaging content including media releases, publications, website content, and social media campaigns.
- Build productive relationships with media, government, ACCOs, education providers, and key stakeholders.
- Guide the development of communication resources and visual content that showcase ICOVE's projects, partnerships, and impact.
Your Profile: Creative, Team-oriented and Community-Focused
- Relevant qualifications in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Media, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience developing communication strategies and creating engaging content across multiple platforms.
- Proven experience managing websites, social media, and digital communication channels.
- Experience working within Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) or knowledge of culturally respectful protocols.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences.

A New National Architecture
The Indigenous Centre of Vocational Excellence (ICOVE) is a First Nations-led national initiative delivered in partnership between Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services (KAMS) and Tranby Aboriginal Co-operative, strengthening the VET system for First Nations people.
