Are you a skilled Metal Fabricator, Welder, Fitter, Mechanical Tradesperson or Service Technician looking for a role that gets you out of the workshop and into the field? We are looking for motivated, hands-on technicians to join our growing team servicing and installing industrial entrance solutions across a diverse customer base.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical background who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and delivering exceptional customer service.

About the Role

As a Service Technician, you'll be the face of ASSA ABLOY in the field, providing expert service, maintenance and installation support for industrial roller shutters and entrance solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Planned and preventative maintenance of industrial doors and entrance systems
- Diagnosis, repair and servicing of equipment in the field
- Installation and commissioning of industrial roller shutters
- Conducting safety inspections to national and local standards
- Identifying and recommending repair and upgrade opportunities
- Working closely with technical support and sales teams
- Participating in a rotating after-hours on-call roster
- Building strong customer relationships through professional service delivery

To be successful, you'll bring:





✅ Fabrication, sheet metal or welding experience
✅ Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills
✅ Experience working with industrial machinery or equipment
✅ Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems under pressure
✅ A proactive and safety-focused mindset
✅ Confidence working independently in the field
✅ Excellent communication and customer service skills
✅ Current Australian Driver's Licence
✅ Forklift and Scissor Lift licences (desirable)
✅ Comfortable working at heights
