Are you an experienced Payroll Officer looking for your next challenge?
Do you enjoy solving payroll problems, helping people and making sure employees are paid accurately and on time? Have you worked with Dayforce and thrive in an environment where processes are evolving and improving?
If so, we'd love to hear from you!
We're looking for a Payroll Officer to join our People & Culture team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join us at an exciting time as we continue embedding and optimising our recently implemented Dayforce platform. We're looking for someone who can bring their payroll expertise and Dayforce experience to help support the team through this next stage of the journey.
This isn't just a payroll processing role. You'll play an important part in helping us embed Dayforce across the business while supporting complex payroll activities for a large and diverse workforce.
What can you expect?
You'll be joining a supportive and collaborative Payroll team that values accuracy, customer service and continuous improvement.
Supporting a workforce of approximately 1,700 employees across multiple locations, Awards and Enterprise Agreements, you'll help deliver payroll services that make a real difference to our people. No two days look the same; one day you might be investigating a payroll discrepancy, the next you'll be supporting employees with payroll enquiries, completing reconciliations, or helping improve the way we do things in Dayforce.
What will make you successful?
You'll bring solid end-to-end payroll experience and be confident navigating a complex payroll setting. You'll be comfortable interpreting Awards and Enterprise Agreements, enjoy working with data and genuinely care about delivering a great experience for employees and stakeholders.
You’ll have experience using Dayforce and be excited by the opportunity to contribute to the continued success of a recently implemented platform.
Whether you've been involved in system improvements, troubleshooting issues, supporting a transition or simply working within Dayforce as part of your day-to-day role, you'll understand the value a solid payroll system plays in creating a great employee experience.
You'll also understand that great payroll is about people, not just numbers, and take pride in providing a positive experience for employees and stakeholders.
You're someone who:
- Has strong reconciliation and analytical skills
- Is confident using Excel, including IF statements, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
- Enjoys solving problems and finding better ways of doing things
- Adapts quickly in changing environments
- Communicates well and builds positive relationships across the business
- Takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work
What's in it for you?
In return, you'll join a business that values flexibility, collaboration and continuous improvement.
You'll enjoy:
- A 6-month fixed-term opportunity with an immediate start
- Hybrid working arrangements, including 2 days working from home
- A supportive Senior Payroll Manager and collaborative People & Culture team
- Modern offices located at Sydney Olympic Park
- Employee discounts and wellbeing initiatives
- The opportunity to further develop your Dayforce experience and contribute to the ongoing success of a major payroll transformation
