Parkhouse Bell is partnering with a leading employment services provider to recruit an experienced Employment Consultant. This role is focused on developing strong employer partnerships and supporting participants with disability, injury or health conditions to secure and maintain sustainable employment.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys stakeholder engagement, business development and working collaboratively with employers to create inclusive workplaces and positive employment outcomes.
About the Role
The Employment Consultant plays a critical role in connecting participants with suitable employment opportunities while supporting employers to build diverse and inclusive workforces.
Working across multiple locations, you will develop relationships with employers, identify workforce needs and deliver practical solutions that improve retention and long-term employment outcomes for participants.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with employers and community partners
- Promoting employment opportunities and referral pathways for participants
- Working collaboratively with employers to identify suitable roles and workforce solutions
- Providing advice on workplace diversity, inclusion and customised employment practices
- Supporting employers and participants to overcome barriers to sustainable employment
- Developing strategies and interventions to improve employment retention outcomes
- Working alongside Ongoing Support teams to support long-term participant success
- Identifying future workforce requirements and creating employment opportunities
- Managing a diverse geographical territory and effectively planning employer engagement activities
- Representing the organisation within the local business and community sectors
Essential Requirements
- Experience working within employment services, disability services, recruitment, workforce development or a similar sector
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Strong business development and networking capabilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to influence and engage employers at all levels
- Strong problem-solving, coaching and conflict resolution skills
- High levels of resilience, initiative and self-motivation
- Sound computer literacy and administrative skills
- Demonstrated cultural awareness and ability to work with diverse communities
- Current unrestricted driver's licence
Desirable Requirements
- Qualifications in Employment Services, Disability Services, Human Resources, Business or a related field
- Understanding of disability employment programs and best-practice inclusive employment approaches
- Knowledge of the local labour market and employer workforce needs
- Experience delivering workplace diversity or employer engagement initiatives
