Diamantina Shire offers schooling options at Birdsville State School and Bedourie State School, both catering for Kindergarten to Year 6 in inclusive, welcoming small-school settings that support a holistic approach to learning.

Council also operates playgroups in both Bedourie and Birdsville, providing engaging early learning and social opportunities for children aged 0–4 years and their families.
