Toorak Dental Studio and Dentistry in Canterbury are searching for a skilled technician to join our friendly, encouraging, team-oriented in-house laboratory.
We have 2 in house CEREC machines, the Primemill, and MCXL, a Speedfire Furnace and Ivoclar CS2, Ackuretta Sol 3D printer and SprintRay Procure 2, ExoCad software
Experience Required for the Role
The Successful candidate MUST have:
- 3+ years post-study working as a Dental technician highly regarded
- CAD experience (EXOCAD is a requirement) with smile deigns and shell mock-ups
- 3D printing knowledge
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of Crown and Bridge technology for CEREC
- You will be required to marginate and design for the same day crowns
- Knowledge of tooth anatomy, form and function.
- Eye for detail - Produce artistic, aesthetic and quality dental work
- Be highly organized with excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Be able to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
- Able to complete all work to a high standard and within the required time frame.
Duties and responsibilities to be undertaken by the successful candidate –
- Creating accurate models of patients’ mouth and teeth from the digital scans
- Designing and fabricating dentures, mouth guards, retainers, bleaching trays
- Creating crowns and bridges to restore a patient’s mouth or teeth
- Create 3D smile designs and diagnostic wax-ups
- Correcting irregularities in a patient’s dentition using removable or permanent dental appliances
- Replacing missing dental and facial tissue with prostheses
- Preparing reports on the dental laboratory’s activities
- Maintaining dental records and other laboratory documentation
