This is a part-time on-site role for a RN for our General Practice. The right person will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients in a compassionate atmosphere, providing a variety of services, and working collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals. The practice has a fully equipped treatment room that functions from Monday to Friday (NO WEEKENDS) with the flexibility of working hours for work/life balance.

We require someone for at least 2 days/week

Qualifications

- Current registration with AHPRA as a RN
- Experience in a similar medical setting.
- Experience administering medications, injections, and vaccinations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.
- Flexibility to work varying hours and schedules with prior arrangement.
- Exceptional attention to detail and thorough documentation skills
- Ability to work independently within a small team of doctors and staff

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Triage/First aid assistance with emergency procedures
- Acute assessment of sick patients
- Covid 19 vaccinations.
- Other child and adult vaccinations
- Recalls
- Performance of ECGs for patients




- Injections – medication administration
- Suture removal
- Preparation for, and assistance with, minor surgical procedures
- Wound management
- Removal of plaster casts and synthetic casts
- Active part of accreditation
- Urinalysis &/or urine pregnancy testing
- Spirometry
- ECG
- Ordering Stock such as vaccinations and medical supplies/equipment and cold chain control
- Care plans

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- Strong clinical skills with experience in general practice preferred.
- Computer literacy relevant to the job + familiarity with medical software such as Best Practice will be an advantage
- The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Be a reliable member of our small team.
