Independent Disability Support Worker Wanted – Bendigo

We are assisting two young adults living together in Bendigo to find experienced independent disability support workers with an ABN.

Both participants have autism, ADHD, mild intellectual disability, mental health support needs and complex trauma histories. The role includes community access, appointments, daily living support, capacity building and supporting the participants to work towards their goals.

Applicants must have: Mental health training Demonstrated trauma-informed practice, Experience supporting autism, intellectual disability and psychosocial disability, NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid and CPR, Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle, ABN and appropriate insurances,



Strong communication skills and skilled boundaries, Willingness to participate in a collaborative WhatsApp group with the participants, Support Coordinators and wider support team for continuity of support and safeguarding, Relevant disability, community services or mental health qualifications and Mental Health First Aid accreditation are highly regarded.

Ongoing weekday and weekend shifts are available.
