Chef required

Solita Pizzeria & Pasta Bar, located at Bailey’s Corner, has over the last 3 years, cemented itself as one of the city’s favourite Italian restaurants. Serving pizzas accredited from Naples, Italy, our philosophy is the use high quality ingredients and deliver flavour filled meals at a reasonable price.

Our busy kitchen requires a full-time qualified Chef to join us. The position will be responsible for the daily operation of the kitchen; providing leadership and direction to kitchen staff; ensuring food preparation, quality and presentation meet the restaurant’s standard; and ensuring kitchen sanitation and workplace safety.

The right candidate should have:

ü Diploma of in Hospitality or equivalent overseas qualification or At least 3 years relevant experience required

ü Demonstrate outstanding recipe knowledge for Italian cuisine

ü Solid leadership skills and able to work co-operatively with other team members

ü Menu designing

ü Dedicated to food quality and cost control

ü Knowledge of WH&S; regulations and ensure the procedure are adhered by all kitchen staff





ü Maintain the hygiene and cleanness of the kitchen area

Duties and responsibilities:

· Able to design seasonable and special menu

· Organize staff roster and shift and ensure smooth staff coverage

· Supervise other chefs and kitchen staff

· Train new chefs and kitchen staff

· Prepare dishes and organize kitchen operation

· Monitor food quality and portion and ensure high customer satisfaction

· Oversee kitchen labour and food costs

· Order ingredients and supply

· Stock control

· Monitor and control wastage, portion control

· Responsible in ensuring food safety and kitchen sanitation standard

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year

Experience:

- Kitchen: 1 year (Preferred)
