We are a popular neighbourhood café and bar in Brunswick East, just north of Melbourne's CBD. We have built a strong local following since opening in 2008. We have a welcoming neighbourhood atmosphere that's popular for after-work drinks with a relaxed, contemporary feel, a cosy rear courtyard, indoor dining and bar seating. We are open for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner offering Gourmet pizzas, Modern Australian pub-style dishes, Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options with a wide selection of Australian and international wines, Craft beers, cocktails and premium spirits.

We are now seeking a Qualified Chef to join our dedicated team. To apply you will need an Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management, Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and over 2 Years experience as a Chef. We are offering $80K-$90K plus Super

Your responsibilities will be:

- Prepare, cook, present dishes as per the menu, maintaining consistency in quality, flavour, and presentation.
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring smooth workflow during service hours.




- Manage kitchen inventory and ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
- Ensure all food prepared meets taste, texture, and visual standards.
- Follow food safety & hygiene protocols to ensure compliance with local regulations, maintain a clean & secure kitchen.
- Control portion sizes, food costs, and minimize waste to ensure profitability.
- Work collaboratively with other staff
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment, utensils, and workstations.
- Adapt recipes or techniques as necessary to meet customer dietary requirements or preferences.
