About the Role

We're currently looking for a Female Arabic-speaking Disability Support Worker to support a participant based in Glenroy, VIC.

This opportunity is for someone who is patient, compassionate, and enjoys building genuine connections. You'll support the participant with daily living activities, community access, and achieving personal goals while providing encouragement, consistency, and culturally appropriate support.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
- Support community access, appointments, shopping, and social activities.
- Encourage independence and build everyday life skills.
- Follow Positive Behaviour Support strategies and individual support plans.
- Build a genuine, trusting relationship through respectful and consistent support.
- Support emotional wellbeing using a calm, patient, and positive approach.
- Encourage choice, independence, and active participation in daily decisions.
- Communicate clearly using straightforward, respectful, and supportive language.
- Complete accurate progress notes and communicate any concerns with the team.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

- A female Arabic speaker (required).
- Experienced in supporting people with disability, including autism, psychosocial disability, intellectual disability, or complex support needs.




- Confident communicating in both Arabic and English.
- Kind, patient, calm, and respectful.
- Culturally aware and able to provide culturally appropriate support.
- Reliable, professional, and committed to delivering high-quality care.
- A strong communicator who enjoys building meaningful relationships.
- Living in Glenroy or nearby suburbs.
- Holds a valid Australian driver's licence and has access to a reliable insured vehicle (preferred).

About the Participant

You'll be supporting an Arabic-speaking participant who values kindness, consistency, and respectful communication. Having someone who understands their language and cultural background helps them feel comfortable, understood, and confident during supports.

Your role will focus on promoting independence, encouraging community participation, supporting daily routines, and helping the participant work towards their NDIS goals in a safe, positive, and supportive environment.

Essential Requirements

- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Working with Children Check.
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- National Police Check.
- Australian Driver Licence (preferred).
- Reliable insured vehicle (preferred).
- Certificate in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, or a related qualification (preferred).
