Are you an IT professional with around two years of experience in infrastructure and cloud technologies, looking to take the next step in your career? We're looking for an Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to join our growing team and help support, maintain and enhance our cloud and on-premise environments. This is an excellent prospect to build on your existing experience while working across a broad range of technologies within a supportive team.
The Role:
Based in Doncaster, you'll play a key role in maintaining and evolving the infrastructure that underpins our business operations. You'll work closely with experienced team members to ensure our platforms remain secure, reliable and scalable, while contributing to infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain core infrastructure components, including servers, networks and security systems
- Help maintain a secure and reliable environment across cloud and on-premise platforms
- Monitor system performance and capacity, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Maintain technical documentation and operational standards
- Contribute to infrastructure and cloud projects from planning through to implementation
- Assist with the design and deployment of new infrastructure solutions
- Stay up to date with emerging infrastructure and cloud technologies
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives
Key Requirements:
- Around 2 years' experience in an infrastructure, cloud or systems engineering role
- Exposure to Azure, AWS and Microsoft 365 environments
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (or a willingness to further develop your skills)
- Experience working with SQL and/or PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange
- Exposure to scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python or Bash
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform is desirable
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes or similar container technologies is advantageous
- Exposure to .NET (C#) application environments is desirable
- Understanding of IT security best practices
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions is advantageous
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and excellent communication skills
