About our Role

Join the Barminco team as an Underground Boilermaker and support our underground mining operations across Australia, with current opportunities available at sites throughout Western Australia. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality fabrication, welding, and maintenance services across our large and diverse fleet of underground mining equipment.

What will your day to day look like?

- Carry out planned and breakdown maintenance on underground mining equipment and infrastructure
- Perform welding, fabrication, and structural repairs on mobile plant and fixed equipment
- Inspect, maintain, and repair buckets, booms, trays, guards, and other critical components
- Conduct crack testing, gouging, and rebuilds to OEM and site standards
- Complete pre-start checks and ensure equipment is safe and compliant for operation
- Accurately record maintenance activities and report defects or hazards




- Work closely with maintenance teams and supervisors to minimise equipment downtime

Our ideal candidate background includes

- Previous experience working as an Underground Boilermaker (mining experience highly regarded)
- Trade qualification in Engineering Fabrication (Boilermaking/Welding)
- Strong welding and fabrication skills (MIG, Stick, Flux Core experience preferred)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Ability to meet all site access requirements (including, but not limited to, Medical, DAS, NPC & valid Manual Driver's Licence)
