About the Role:
As a Disability Support Worker, you will:
- Provide tailored support that meets individual needs in the least restrictive way possible.
- Mentor clients and assist them in developing daily living and social skills.
- Be a positive role model, offering support in areas such as emotional wellbeing, transport, cooking, and domestic tasks.
- Administer medication and follow client-specific support plans.
- Complete clear, concise, and factual handover notes and incident reports.
- Manage complex and challenging behaviors with empathy and professionalism.
- Implement problem-solving strategies and social support techniques.
- Encourage client participation in local community and cultural activities.
- Think creatively and adaptively to client needs.
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
- A team player mindset with a passion for client-centered care
- Previous experience in the disability sector (preferred)
- Confidence and skill in managing high-intensity needs (advantageous)
- A flexible, solution-focused approach
Essential Requirements:
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Willingness to work casual and call-in shifts
- Basic computer literacy (training provided)

- Qualification in Disability or related field
- Experience working with people with wide-ranging needs and concerns

- You must have availability to work all shifts - Mornings 6am-2pm, Day 2pm-10pm, inactive nights 10pm-6am and short shifts.
