- Salary range: $105,000 to $110,000 per yr, plus superannuation
- Roster: 8 weeks on / 2 weeks off, Accommodation amenities cost: $20 per week
- Isolation leave and annual leave will accrue as per the employment agreement and will generally be paid during the 2-week off period, unless otherwise advised.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Health Services Manager, you will provide professional social work services that support individuals, children and families to achieve positive and sustainable change.
Working within a multidisciplinary primary health care team, you will deliver culturally appropriate mental health, alcohol and other drug (AOD), child and family wellbeing, and community development services while promoting the mission and values of PHHS.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Deliver high-quality social work, mental health and Social & Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) services.
- Provide assessments, case management, counselling and therapeutic interventions.
- Support clients experiencing alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues using trauma-informed, culturally safe and evidence-based approaches.
- Build strong relationships with Aboriginal families, Elders, community members and partner organisations.
- Facilitate community workshops,
education sessions and group programs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case conferencing and coordinated care planning.
- Conduct family assessments and develop case plans that promote child safety and family wellbeing.
- Liaise with government agencies, health professionals and community organisations to achieve positive outcomes.
- Maintain accurate client records and prepare reports in accordance with legislative and organisational requirements.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and ongoing service development.
About You:
To be successful you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, Welfare or a related discipline.
- Experience working with vulnerable individuals, children, families and communities.
- Knowledge of mental health, child and family wellbeing, and/or alcohol and other drug services.
- Strong assessment, case management and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and report writing abilities.
- A commitment to culturally safe practice and working respectfully with Aboriginal communities.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team.
- Essential Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- Current NT Ochre Card (Working with Children Clearance) or ability to obtain.
- Current National Police Check or ability to obtain.
*Current unrestricted manual driver’s licence
Willingness to live and work in a remote community and undertake occasional travel.
