Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, commissioning, and repair of commercial air conditioning systems while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Install split-system, multi-head, and ducted air conditioning systems in commercial environments.
- Install and maintain ventilation systems, exhaust fans, ductwork, grilles, diffusers, and associated HVAC equipment.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Assemble, position, and secure indoor and outdoor units, condensers, evaporators, air handling units, and associated components.
- Fabricate and install brackets, supports, and equipment fixings as required.
- Conduct testing, commissioning, and performance checks on newly installed systems.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing of HVAC equipment.
- Diagnose faults and troubleshoot refrigeration circuits, compressors, fan motors, thermostats, sensors, and control systems.
- Complete service reports, maintenance records, and installation documentation.




- Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards, industry regulations, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Provide technical advice and recommendations to customers regarding system operation, maintenance, and energy efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, builders, suppliers, and other trades to ensure successful project delivery.
- Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition.

Skills & Experience

- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in HVAC installation, service, and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
- Experience working on commercial HVAC projects.
