THE ROLE

The two Senior Project Officers works within two different high-performing teams in Strategic Governance, Engagement and Reporting unit. These roles will work collaboratively across the department and in partnership with Aboriginal stakeholders to promote and deliver lasting Aboriginal wellbeing outcomes and facilitate self-determination for Aboriginal organisations and communities in all that we do.

You play a key role to support the delivery and implementation of Korin Korin Balit-Djak, the department's Aboriginal health, wellbeing and safety strategic plan, and its associated governance and oversight. Your role is to plan, participate in and support key advisory, governance and oversight bodies and associated activities, projects, communications and engagement with community and other key stakeholders.

You will develop and maintain relationships across the department and division, and with Victorian Aboriginal leaders, to incorporate strong Aboriginal voice and drive self-determination. This role is part of a multidisciplinary structure in Aboriginal Self-Determination and Outcomes Division that apply a collaborative and agile project management approach to our work.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

- Provide authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholder and prepare and present detailed reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on complex matters.




- Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate a partnerships approach.
- Where responsible for overseeing, monitoring or delivering projects, ensure they are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation and government regulations and guidelines.
