We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and organised maintenance employee to join our small but productive team at our beautifully equipped and landscaped retirement village in Claremont, WA.

A casual opportunity exists at St Louis Estate Claremont for an experienced Maintenance Officer to join our team (Rostered between 0800-1600, Monday to Friday, varying hours each fortnight).

The Maintenance Officer reports to the Village Manager and maintains all aspects of the Estate, along with ensuring jobs which require further work by tradespeople are completed as per standards set by St Louis Estate.

Ideally, we are seeking someone who has also had previous experience with a similar maintenance / handyperson role in a similar setting.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Identify preventative and corrective maintenance requirements, complete the works and documentation of schedules.

· Attending to Ad-hoc maintenance requests on a day-to-day basis. Submitted by residents of the Estate.

· Setting up of rooms and equipment, adhering to OH&S; guidelines.

- Equipment and plant repairs and monitoring.
- Assisting residents and staff with ad hoc requests & tasks as they arise.
- Assisting with the upkeep of the ongoing Maintenance program.
- Gardening and landscaping duties as required.




- Timely reporting

Skills & Experience

- Trade Qualification Preferred (In a relevant trade)
- Current police clearance
- Current First Aid / CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Unrestricted WA Drivers Licence
- Proven ability to work autonomously and manage own time.
- Excellent communication skills
- Maintenance / Handyperson skills
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
- Occupational Health and Safety knowledge preferred.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
