Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 per year

We are currently seeking a creative, passionate & enthusiastic Cook to join our vibrant team. This

position is a full-time ongoing role, working 38 hours per week, based in Eastlakes, NSW.

Black Market Hospitality Pty Ltd operates Bear and Bean Espresso, a highly regarded café and

espresso house in Eastlakes, known for its quality coffee, friendly atmosphere, and delicious

breakfast ad lunch offerings. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent food and beverage

experiences with great customer service in a welcoming environment.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Cook who enjoys working in a quick – paced café environment and

understands quality food preparation and presentation techniques. The successful candidate will

help maintain consistently high standards and support smooth kitchen operations.

As a Cook, you will be responsible for the following duties:

 Prepare ingredients & cook dishes including special dietary requirements, in accordance

with established recipes & presentation standards

 Ensure all food items are prepared and served in a timely manner with consistent quality

 Liaise with front-of-house employees to ensure proper food service timing & coordination

 Maintain high standards of food, personal hygiene and Work Health and Safety (WH&S)





 Operate various kitchen appliances such as blender, over, grill or stand mixer

 Assist with cleaning of kitchen equipment and the workspaces to ensure functionality and

safety

 Conduct kitchen quality control measures including stock management, daily checklists and

cleaning rosters.

 Monitor food production, portion control, and food and staff costs to ensure operational

efficiency.

 Train and supervise new or junior kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to the quality and

safety standards.

Skills & Experience – Who we’re looking for:

For this position, it is expected that you would possess the following qualifications/work experience:

 Minimum Certificate III in Cookery or similar field OR at least 3 years of relevant work

experience in lieu of qualifications

 At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Cook

 A passion for food quality and excellent presentation

 Strong food prep and cooking skills

 Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with high pressure

 Effectively manage time and prioritise tasks and understand sequence of service

 Experience working in a high-volume kitchen

 High standards of cleanliness & hygiene

 Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $77,000.00 – $83,000.00 per year
