About the role:

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Health Teaching Team to deliver First Aid training to TAFE Gippsland students and our short course and commercial clients. As a teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high quality training and assessment and undertaking educational administration. You will provide students with support and advice to equip them with the skills and knowledge to effectively apply First Aid.

Qualifications and Experience

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40122 or equivalent (mandatory)
- Current accreditation in mandatory first aid units HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation, HLTAID010 - Provide basic emergency life support, HLTAID011 - Provide first aid (and desirable HLTAID012 – Provide first aid in an education & care setting and HLTAID104 Provide advanced First Aid).

Mandatory requirements

- Current Victorian Working with Children Clearance
- Current Police check (no older than 12 months)
- Current Driver’s Licence

Please note that the Teaching Duty Hourly Rate is inclusive of 30 minutes of preparation, planning, curriculum development and assessment that directly relates to the teaching duty hour worked. This means that where you are engaged for Teaching Delivery, 30 minutes of preparation, planning, curriculum development and assessment work is included in the hourly rate of pay.
