With more than 800 team members and 200 volunteers across Queensland, we're known for delivering care that's personal, local and built on genuine relationships.

Whether it's helping with daily tasks, supporting someone to stay connected to their community, or simply sharing a cuppa and a chat, we make every moment matter.

We believe the same level of care should extend to our people. That's why we invest in creating a supportive, rewarding workplace where you feel valued, connected and empowered to make a real difference.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Support Worker, you'll help older people remain independent, connected and confident in their everyday lives.

You'll provide one-on-one support to customers in their homes and local communities across the Bundaberg Region, supporting individuals throughout Bundaberg and surrounding coastal and regional communities.

While shifts are offered based on customer needs, we're ideally seeking team members who can provide casual availability Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm.

No two days are the same, but every day brings the opportunity to make a meaningful difference.

Your Day May Include:

- Delivering personalised support in line with individual care plans
- Assisting with personal care, mobility support and medication reminders
- Preparing meals and promoting healthy nutrition
- Providing respite support in the home and community
- Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning, laundry, bed making and shopping
- Supporting social connection and community participation
- Helping customers attend appointments, activities and outings

You'll use your own reliable vehicle to travel between customer homes and assist with transporting customers within the community when required.

You'll Thrive in This Role If You

- Enjoy building meaningful relationships and getting to know people
- Bring compassion, reliability and respect to every interaction

- Are comfortable working independently while staying connected to your team
- Are passionate about supporting older Australians to live independently and with dignity
- Have experience in aged care, disability support, community services, hospitality, customer service or another people-focused role
- Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (desirable but not essential)
- Have a current Australian Driver Licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
- Hold, or are willing to obtain, First Aid and CPR certification
- Hold, or are willing to obtain, a National Criminal History Check
- Live on the Sunshine Coast or surrounding areas and are willing to travel throughout the region
- Most importantly, you bring a caring attitude and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in people's lives.

Belonging Starts Here
We believe real care starts with real belonging. That means creating a workplace where everyone - no matter their background, culture, or story - feels seen, respected, and safe to be themselves.

We welcome applications from First Nations people, the LGBTIQA+ community, people with disabilities, and those from culturally diverse backgrounds. Your story matters here.

Ready to Make a Difference?
If you're looking for flexible work that fits your lifestyle, offers rewarding connections and allows you to make a genuine difference in your local community, we'd love to hear from you.

Join Suncare and build a career with heart.

We proudly work across the lands of the Gubbi Gubbi (Gub-bee Gub-bee), Turrbal, Yuggera, Darumbal, Butchulla (Batjala) & Taribelang Bunda peoples, and extend our respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities. We are committed to creating a culturally safe, inclusive and welcoming workplace for all.
