Football Fives is seeking a reliable and organised Competition Manager to oversee the weekly running of our Sunday evening social 5-a-side outdoor soccer competition at Cintra Park, Concord.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up equipment prior to games and pack down afterward (banner, speaker, and moving goals into position)
- Ensure teams are ready for games to run to schedule
- Record match scores and results
- Prepare match balls (transport and inflate as required)
- Wash and transport bibs on a weekly basis
- Transport and charge the competition speaker each week
- Film the weekly Player of the Match video
- Update the league table following each round
- Send out a weekly attendance poll
- Respond to player enquiries via email, Instagram and Whatsapp as needed
- Other ad hoc tasks related to the operation of the competition as required
Hours:
Approximately 4.5 hours per week - 3 hours in office each Sunday evening (attendance, set up and pack down) plus approximately 1.5 hours of weekly administrative tasks (attendance poll, email correspondence, bib laundering)
Pay: $35.00 per hour (exclusive of superannuation)
About You: This role would suit someone reliable, personable, and ideally already familiar with or involved in the local football/community sport scene. Prior experience in event coordination, sports administration, or refereeing is beneficial but not essential.
