Job Responsibilities
As a Senior Physics Tutor, you will:
- Tutor Year 11 and 12 students in the NSW Stage 6 Physics syllabus.
- Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the NSW HSC Physics curriculum.
- Explain complex Physics concepts clearly and effectively.
- Prepare students for assessments, examinations, and the HSC.
- Develop students' problem-solving, analytical, and scientific reasoning skills.
- Adapt lessons to students' learning needs and academic goals.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate lesson records.
- Collaborate with team members to improve student outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the NSW Stage 6 Physics syllabus.
- Previous tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience with Year 11 and/or Year 12 Physics students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organised, reliable, and professional.
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Availability on weekday evenings and/or Saturdays.
Preferred Skills
- Band 6 in HSC Physics.
- Robust understanding of Stage 6 Physics concepts and exam techniques.
- Experience preparing students for HSC assessments and examinations.
- Ability to adapt teaching to different learning styles.
