Head Coach

BFT Mascot, Sydney. Full-time. $80k plus bonuses for every roll-over.

A quick word on why this studio exists, because as Head Coach you are its guardian.

Someone once saw potential in me and put good coaches around me, and it changed the direction of my life. I built BFT Mascot to do that for people, every session. As Head Coach, you are the one who makes sure we deliver on that, every day, in every room.

I back my people. This is the seat where I back you to lead.

The role

You own the coaching. That means leading from the front on the floor, setting the standard for what a great session looks like, and lifting every coach on the team to meet it. You mentor and develop our coaches, protect the quality of the member experience, and keep our culture strong.

You also help members take the leap. Because you coach our paid-trial members through their first sessions, you are perfectly placed to roll them into full memberships, and you are rewarded for every one you do. That is where your bonuses come from: the people you turn from trial into family.

And once someone is a member, you keep them. You own retention on the floor, spotting when a member starts to drift and drawing them back before they slip away.

So this is three things at once. You are the craft and culture leader of the floor, the coach who converts trust into commitment, and the one who keeps our members with us.

How I will measure your success

Two numbers tell us this is working:

- Roll-overs: at least 80% of your paid-trial members converting to full memberships.

- Retention: monthly member churn held under 5%.

They are ambitious on purpose. Hit them and you are not just doing the job, you are building something,

and that is where the bonuses and your future here come from.

What I put behind you

- A full-time base salary of $80k, so you can lead without worrying about your own income.

- Uncapped bonuses for every paid-trial member you roll into a full membership.** The more lives you help change, the more you earn.

- A coaching team to lead, develop, and be proud of.

- The BFT system and HQ support behind you, so you are shaping a proven model, not inventing one alone.

- A studio to put your stamp on, and an owner who backs his people the way he was once backed.

Who you are

You are an experienced coach who is ready to lead, not just deliver. You want to shape a room and a team, not only your own sessions.

Two things are non-negotiable:

- You know strength training and how the body moves, deeply. As Head Coach you set the standard, so your technique, programming knowledge, and cueing have to be the best on the floor.

- You run and protect our format. You deliver our sessions as they are built, and you hold every other coach to that same bar. If you want to freelance your own style, this is not the seat. If you want to master a proven system and lead others in it, it is.

The rest of what matters:

- You make other coaches better. Through feedback, example, and genuine care, you lift the people around you.

- You lead a room and own its energy. Members should leave your sessions telling their mates about them.

- You are commercially switched on. You see rolling a trial member into a membership as helping them commit to a better life, because that is exactly what it is.

- You are comfortable on camera. We create content, and as the face of our coaching you are part of that.

- You carry the culture. It is the best thing we have, and as Head Coach you are its keeper.

- A real advantage: experience with perimenopausal women. A big part of our community is women in their 40s, so a coach who understands how to train and support women through perimenopause, and what they are navigating, builds trust fast.

Practical must-haves: a Certificate IV in Fitness (or equivalent), robust group coaching experience, ideally some experience leading or mentoring other coaches, and current First Aid and CPR.

The honest bit

Leading is more than coaching your own classes. There will be some early starts and evenings, and you carry the standard for the whole floor, not just your own room. If that responsibility is exactly what you have been wanting, this is a great seat to step into.

How to apply

Send me a few lines on who you are, your coaching and leadership experience, and a moment you helped a member or a fellow coach level up. Tell me why leading a room and a team is what you want next. That tells me more than a CV does.

I read every one personally.
