We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Female Disability Support Workers to assist independent participants located in the Cranbourne Area. The role offers approximately 30 hours of support per week. We are looking for someone who can start immediately. The Successful Canadidate will be required to do inactive sleepovers.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting participants with day-to-day living activities in participant's house.
- Assisting participants in making choices and enabling them to reach their desired goals.
- Assist with all Personal Care requirements
- Meal Prep assistance
- Assisting with the delivery of activities to enhance the physical, social, emotional and intellectual well-being of participants.
- Provide high quality, professional and individualised support to participants.
- Complete all administrative tasks.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience or robust passion for supporting people with disabilities
- A minimum of one year of experience working in the disability support sector
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others
- Ample experience in supporting participants with behaviours of concern
- A current Australian driver’s license
- NDIS worker Screening Check
- First Aid Certificate and CPR
- Cert IV In disability or equivalent.
Previous experience in the disability field
- Working with Children’s Check
- Eligibility to work in Australia
- Manual Handling Experience
- A reliable vehicle with Comprehensive Insurance
- Two contactable references
