What your day could look like

As Nurse Unit Manager, you'll play a key role in creating a positive, high-performing inpatient service for patients, families and staff. From guiding clinical excellence to supporting workforce capability, you'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, person-centred care and strong service outcomes.

Every day, you'll contribute by:
Leading and supporting a nursing team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
Driving quality improvement initiatives that strengthen clinical outcomes and patient experiences
Managing resources, workforce planning and service performance to support sustainable care delivery
Coaching, mentoring and developing staff to build capability, confidence and future leaders

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
Proven leadership experience in coordinating clinical services and multidisciplinary teams
Strong skills in workforce, resource and quality management
A collaborative approach with excellent communication and decision-making abilities

You'll stand out if you have leadership experience in rural healthcare and/or postgraduate qualifications in nursing, management or health administration. Above all, you'll bring Compassion, Integrity, Dignity, Innovation and Courage to every interaction.
