An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Paediatrician to join a well-established Paediatric Department in Western Australia.
The successful candidate will provide Consultant-led care across inpatient, outpatient and neonatal services while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team. Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver Consultant-led General Paediatric inpatient care.
- Conduct outpatient paediatric clinics.
- Provide neonatal and newborn care.
- Participate in acute paediatric assessment and management.
- Support multidisciplinary care for infants, children and young people.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff.
- Contribute to clinical leadership and service development.
- Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement activities.
- Deliver safe, evidence-based, family-centred paediatric care.
Person Specification
Qualifications & Registration
Essential
- UK CCT in Paediatrics or Irish CSCST in Paediatrics (or due to complete training shortly).
- Eligibility for Specialist Registration in Australia via the Expedited Specialist Pathway or another recognised specialist pathway.
Experience
Essential
- Consultant-level experience in General Paediatrics.
- Experience delivering inpatient, outpatient and neonatal care.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
