Speech Pathologist – Contractor | Flexible Hours | $100 per Hour

Limp In Leap Out Physiotherapy Croydon is seeking a compassionate and reliable Speech Pathologist to join our growing allied health team as an independent contractor.

This role primarily involves providing speech pathology services to Home Care Package clients in their homes. It is ideal for a Speech Pathologist looking for flexible work, greater control over their schedule, and the opportunity to build their own caseload.

About the Role

You will provide mobile speech pathology services to older adults living within the community. You will be able to arrange appointments directly with your allocated clients and schedule visits around your existing commitments.

The caseload may include clients requiring assistance with:

- Communication and language difficulties
- Speech and voice concerns
- Swallowing and mealtime management
- Cognitive communication difficulties
- Client, family and carer education
- Assessment, treatment planning and progress reporting
- Recommendations for appropriate supports, equipment or referrals

Contractor Rate

$100 per hour

This is an independent contractor position. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing their own taxation, insurance and contractor obligations.

Essential Requirements

The successful applicant must have:

- A recognised qualification in Speech Pathology
- Current membership or eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- A valid Australian Business Number (ABN)
- A current Australian driver’s licence
- Access to a reliable vehicle
- Current professional indemnity and public liability insurance
- A current National Police Check
- Strong communication, organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to work independently and manage a mobile caseload
- Appropriate Australian working rights

Experience working with older adults, swallowing difficulties, neurological conditions or Home Care Package clients is highly regarded. New graduate Speech Pathologists with strong communication skills and an interest in community-based care are also encouraged to apply.

Location

Home visits will primarily be provided to clients around Sydney.
