We're looking for a Principal Finance Officer (AO7) to join our Housing and Homelessness Services team in Brisbane. This is a temporary full-time position until 30 June 2027, with the possibility of extension. In this role, you'll lead a team of five dedicated professionals, providing high-level management and advice to ensure the successful delivery of programs that support Queenslanders in need of housing and homelessness assistance.

This role has a solid financial and data focus, requiring you to manage budgets, oversee grant funding, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. You'll also use data to drive insights, inform decision-making and improve program outcomes. Your ability to analyse complex information and provide sound advice will be critical to your success.

You'll play a key role in managing social services procurement and grant funding, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and departmental policies. You'll also provide strategic advice to senior leaders, tackle complex and sensitive issues, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within your team.
