Role details The Women's Health Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Registered Nurse to join their team on a permanent basis. Your opportunity The Registered Nurse provides nursing services within the Womens and Childrens outpatient clinic settings; and demonstrates competence in the provision of nursing care as specified by registration requirements, NMBA standards and codes, educational preparation, relevant legislation and context of care. The Registered Nurse as part of the Womens and Childrens Outpatients Department who is responsible and accountable for delivering quality patient focused, evidenced based nursing care, providing leadership, direction and support to other nursing staff and students and working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team. About the Team Mackay Base Hospital Women's Services operates within a Maternity Co-Design philosophy that involves working in partnership with maternity consumers, our community, and staff from all of our facilities to develop a contemporary women centred model of maternity care. The Women's Services offers the following:
Comprehensive antenatal, birthing and post-natal care, Multiple continuity models including an independent Birth Centre, Midwifery Group Practice, and Indigenous all risk model of care, Neonatal services, and Specialist Gynaecology services. About our Hospital and Health Service Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
