About the Agency & Our Client:
We are partnering with an established, highly successful Remedial Builder based in South Sydney. Due to an influx of incoming tenders and an impressive pipeline of secured works, they are looking to welcome a skilled Remedial Estimator to their close-knit commercial team.

The Role:
Reporting directly to the Estimating Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end tendering process. While based at their modern South Sydney office, our client values flexibility and is happy to negotiate 1 day per week working from home (WFH) once you are settled into the role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Complete detailed take-offs, cost plans, and end-to-end tender submissions.
- Analyse building defect reports, engineering documentation, and scope of works.
- Conduct site inspections across the Sydney Metro area to accurately assess remedial requirements (waterproofing, concrete repair, facade rectification).
- Source and negotiate competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Strata Managers, Insurers, and Consultants.

About You:
We are looking for a meticulous professional who understands the unique nuances of pricing remedial defects rather than simple new builds.

Required & Highly Desired Attributes:

- Experience: Proven experience in estimating within remedial construction (highly desired) or major-loss insurance building.
- Sector Knowledge: Background pricing multi-residential / strata or complex insurance repair projects.
- Trade Background: A trade background in Carpentry or Waterproofing is highly regarded and helps massively with scoping.
- Project Capacity: Experience pricing single or multi-staged projects valued between $500k and $8m.
- Qualifications: A degree/diploma in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying is desired but not essential if backed by solid industry experience.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in modern estimating software (e.g., Buildsoft, Cubit, or similar).
