We are currently seeking an experienced HR skilled to support a busy operational site in Banksmeadow on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for flexibility, with an initial commitment of 2 days per week and the potential for increased hours over time. Initially this is a temporary position for approx. 6 months (potwntial to be extended).
The Role
Acting as the on-site HR representative, you will play a key role in supporting leaders and employees across a wide range of HR activities, ensuring effective people management and a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Drive employee engagement and culture initiatives , supporting the delivery of HR strategy across the site
- Act as a key point of contact for union and external relations , building strong relationships with relevant stakeholders
- Support succession planning and development initiatives , partnering with leaders on capability-building programs
- Provide day-to-day HR operational support , acting as a bridge between leadership teams and employees
Assist with generalist HR activities including performance management, ER matters, and policy guidance
Your Profile
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role , ideally within an industrial, manufacturing, or operational environment
- Exposure to or confidence working with unions and employee relations matters
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Hands-on, proactive, and confident working autonomously on-site
- Available to commit to 2 days per week (approx. 8:30am–5pm), with flexibility as needs evolve
- Competitive hourly rate of around $45-$55 per hour + super
- Ongoing temporary position , initially for approximately 6 months, with a strong likelihood of extension
