Are you passionate about sport and thrive in fast-paced environments? We’re looking for enthusiastic and proactive Sport Officials to help deliver high-quality, safe and fair competition at UQ Sport.

In this hands-on role, you’ll be right in the action – officiating matches, supporting the delivery of competitions, and assisting with set up and pack down. Working closely with the Sport Convenor, you’ll help create a positive and qualified experience for every participant.

If you’ve got a strong understanding of sport rules, enjoy working as part of a team, and bring a customer-focused mindset, this is a great opportunity to get involved in a vibrant university sporting environment.

In this role you will:

- Officiating sporting fixtures in line with rules and regulations

- Supporting the delivery of scheduled competitions alongside the Sport Convenor

- Assisting with set up and pack down of equipment

- Ensuring competitions are delivered to industry best practice standards

- Promoting a positive and professional experience for participants and the wider UQ community

About you:

- Robust understanding of sport rules and ability to apply them confidently

- Previous experience in a similar officiating or sport-related role

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Proactive, reliable and able to take initiative

- Commitment to customer service and handling challenging situations professionally

- Holds (or can obtain and maintain) a valid Blue Card
