Parsons Music is a fast-growing, family-friendly music academy located in the heart of Chatswood. We provide high-quality music education to children, teens, and adults in a supportive and inspiring environment. With regular concerts, performance opportunities, and a strong local reputation, we are expanding our teaching team.

We are currently seeking passionate and reliable instrumental music teachers for:

- Violin
- Piano
- Cello
- Guitar (Acoustic / Electric / Bass)
- Drums
- Brass (Trumpet, Trombone, etc.)
- Woodwind (Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, etc.)

About the Role

This is a contract-based teaching position ideal for musicians who enjoy working with students of different ages and levels. Lessons are conducted one-on-one and in small groups at our Chatswood studio.

Teaching hours are mainly:

- After school (weekdays)
- Saturdays and Sundays (high demand)

Additional performance events and concerts may also be available.

What We’re Looking For

We’re not just looking for great musicians — we’re looking for great educators who can inspire students long-term.

You should have:

- Experience teaching your instrument to children and/or adults
- Strong communication skills with students and parents
- Reliable, punctual, and skilled attitude




- Ability to follow structured learning plans while adapting to individual students
- Passion for building students’ confidence and enjoyment in music

Required:

- Valid NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- ABN (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in Australia

Highly regarded:

- Music qualifications (AMusA, LMusA, Bachelor of Music, or equivalent)
- Experience preparing students for exams (AMEB, Trinity, ABRSM etc.)
- Performance experience

Pay: $60.00 – $80.00 per hour
