About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our growing team.
In this role, you will provide person-centred support to NDIS participants, assisting them with daily living, community participation, and skill development to enhance independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Living Support
- Assist participants with personal care (showering, grooming, dressing)
- Support with household tasks (cleaning, meal preparation, laundry)
- Assist with medication prompts (as per care plans)
2. Community Participation
- Support participants to attend appointments, social outings, and activities
- Encourage engagement in community, recreation, and skill-building programs
3. Capacity Building
- Assist participants in developing life skills and independence
- Promote confidence, autonomy, and goal achievement
4. High Care Support (Preffered)
- Provide support for participants with complex needs (e.g. mobility, behaviour support, medical care)
- Follow individualised care plans and behaviour support strategies
5. Documentation & Communication
- Maintain accurate progress notes and incident reports
- Communicate effectively office coordinators and internal teams
- Follow NDIS compliance and reporting standards
Key Selection CriteriaEssential
- Experience in disability, aged care, or community services
- Strong understanding of person-centred care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- National Police Clearance
- First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Valid Driver’s Licence & reliable vehicle
Desirable
- Certificate III or IV in Disability / Individual Support
- Experience with high care, behaviours of concern, or complex needs
- Knowledge of NDIS standards and compliance
