Summary:
Perdaman Chemicals and Fertilisers is looking for an Ammonia Panel Operator is responsible for overseeing and controlling the operation of the ammonia process within the fertilizer plant. This includes monitoring the process through control panels, troubleshooting issues, ensuring the system operates efficiently, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a ammonia fertilizer plant, demonstrating a strong understanding of plant operations, equipment, and safety protocols. Should possess excellent communication and coordination skills.

Requirements
Education

- Technical certifications or a Degree/Diploma in Chemical Engineering, or a Science graduate with Chemistry, or related fields.
- Familiarity and experience with Haldor Topsoe are a plus.

Experience





- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an engineer and 10 years for others of hands-on experience as a panel operator in a world-scale ammonia.

Skills

- Strong knowledge of ammonia production processes (e.g., steam methane/AT reforming, air separation, synthesis loop) & Familiarity with DCS (Distributed Control Systems) and plant automation tools.
- Proficiency in operating control panels and process monitoring systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve process, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues.
- Solid attention to detail with the ability to interpret process data and adjust operations accordingly.
- Excellent communication and co-ordination skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Exposure to World Scale operational Hazardous plant safety standards.
