About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll be responsible for the smooth operation of the Accounts Payable function while ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately and on time.
As your confidence grows, you'll receive structured training to become the Payroll backup, giving you exposure to payroll processing, award interpretation and broader finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- End to end Accounts Payable processing
- Process supplier invoices, payments and receipts
- Allocate invoices to the correct cost centres
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Bank transaction processing and bank reconciliations
- General journals and month end assistance
- Maintain accurate supplier records
- Respond to supplier enquiries
- Assist with process improvements and ensure compliance with financial policies
Payroll Development
Full training will be provided to enable you to:
- Support payroll processing for approximately 250 employees
- Assist with payroll reconciliations and statutory obligations
- Learn to interpret the SCHADS Award and other applicable awards
- Process payroll adjustments including leave, allowances and back pay
- Respond to employee payroll enquiries
- Support payroll compliance and reporting
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in accuracy and wants to continue building a long term career in finance.
You'll bring:
- Strong end to end Accounts Payable experience
- Excellent reconciliation skills and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with MYOB Acumatica or a similar ERP system (highly regarded)
- Previous payroll experience is advantageous but not essential
Mandatory Requirements
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
