We are seeking a Senior Practice Nurse to work in our modern and established medical centre in Casula. The practice is located in a busy shopping complex and is accessible by public transport.

About the Practice

Our organisation has a great culture with a close-knit, friendly and easy going team. It has been open since Aug 2015 and is currently accredited with AGPAL. Our rooms feature all the latest equipment also including ECG machines, vector pulse, Vaccine fridge and much more. We offer complete healthcare in one place.

Our medical centre has Male and Female GP's Available as well as a Podiatrist, Physiotherapist, Dietician, Psychologist, Exercise Physiologist and we have onsite pathology.

As a bulk billing practice, we offer bulk billing to all patients holding a valid Medicare card for all Medicare-eligible procedures. This means no out-of-pocket cost for most general consultations.

About the Position

General Purpose of Position:

It is expected that the employee will contribute to enhancing the quality and delivery of health care by providing nursing services in the context of general practice.

Key Selection Criteria - Mandatory

- Registered nurse – with a current practicing Certificate of registration with Nurses Board
- Experience as a Registered Nurse in Medical Practice for at least 5 years.
- Professional indemnity cover




- Demonstrated patient-focused approach in service provision
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently
- Ability to prioritise and organise
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Possession of current drivers license
- Willingness to learn on the job

- Wound Care
- Care plan preprations
- child immunisation
- Computer literacy
- Immunisation certificate
- Knowledge of the Enhanced Primary Care items

Desirable

These skills and knowledge are desirable and if not held would be areas that the practice would encourage and support future professional self-development.

- Diabetes Education Certificate
- Accredited Well Women’s Course
- Asthma Education qualification
- Experiecne administering All Vaccines, particularly COVID-19 Vaccines (done the online training modules)

Job Types: Part time, Casual

Pay: From $39.00 per hour

Experience:

- registered nurse: 1 year (Preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Australian driver's licence (Preferred)
