We are looking for a skilled Security Firewall Engineer with hands-on experience in managing and supporting enterprise firewall solutions, specifically Check Point and Fortinet for one of the customer of IPP Technologies.. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and troubleshooting network security infrastructure to ensure robust protection against cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities

- Configure, deploy, and manage Check Point and Fortinet firewalls.
- Monitor firewall performance, logs, and security alerts.
- Implement and maintain firewall policies, NAT rules, VPN configurations, and access control lists.
- Perform regular firewall rule reviews and optimisation.
- Troubleshoot network and security issues related to firewalls.
- Ensure compliance with organisational security standards and policies.
- Work with SOC/NOC teams to respond to security incidents.
- Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and system hardening.
- Support IPSec and SSL VPN configurations.
- Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and incident reports.
- Participate in security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Required Skills & Qualifications





- Solid hands-on experience with:
- Check Point Firewalls (R80.x, SmartConsole, Gaia OS)
- Fortinet Firewalls (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)
- Good understanding of:
- Network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS)
- Routing & switching concepts
- VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL)
- NAT, VLANs, ACLs
- Experience with firewall log analysis and troubleshooting tools.
- Knowledge of security best practices and threat mitigation.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Certifications

- Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) / CCSE
- Fortinet NSE Certifications (NSE 4 / NSE 5 / NSE 7)
- CCNA / CCNP Security (optional but preferred)

Pay: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year

Experience:

- Check Point Firewalls: 3 years (Required)
- Fortinet Firewalls (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer): 3 years (Required)
- firewall log analysis and troubleshooting tools: 2 years (Preferred)
- SIEM tools: 1 year (Preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) / CCSE (Required)
- Fortinet NSE Certifications (NSE 4 / NSE 5 / NSE 7) (Required)
- CCNA / CCNP Security (Preferred)
