We are seeking a friendly, reliable and hard-working staff member to join our busy newsagency located in Caneland Shopping Centre, Mackay.

This is a casual position with stable and long-term hours available for the right person.

Responsibilities

- Provide excellent customer service and assist shoppers with enquiries.
- Operate the POS system and handle cash and EFT payments accurately.
- Restock shelves, newspapers, magazines, gifts and stationery items.
- Maintain store cleanliness and attractive product presentation.
- Receive and unpack daily deliveries.
- Process Lotto/Tatts sales.
- Assist with daily opening and closing procedures.

What we are looking for

- Friendly personality with excellent customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Able to work weekdays and weekends as required.
- Previous Newsagency experience is essential.




- Experience with Lotto/Tatts, newspapers, magazines, gifts and stationery sales is highly regarded.
- Strong cash handling and POS system experience.
- Long-term commitment is essential.
