You'll provide strategic legal advice across a complex health service, leveraging internal and external legal resources to deliver practical solutions, manage risk, and support quality healthcare outcomes.

Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers an area of 142,900 square kilometres. We go as far as Tully in the south, Cow Bay in the north and Croydon in the west.
About you:
In your current role you will......
- Conduct a professional legal practice as a specialist practitioner and undertake the range of legal work set out in the attached Schedule, in respect of the areas of law identified.
- Liaise with Queensland Health external legal providers, to facilitate the provision of an effective legal service for the Health Service.
- Provide legal advice and drafting expertise on a wide range of commercial matters, particularly in the areas of health, medical research, employment, joint appointments, funding agreements, government information technology contracting (GITC), procurement,
licence and lease arrangements.
- Contribute to the formulation of corporate policy and the implementation of policy directives and may also be required to perform work for and with General Health Law Issues and major/complex projects.
