About the Role
Aberfoyle Park Medical Centre is seeking a Part Time or Casual Practice Nurse (Enrolled or Registered Nurse) to join our supportive care team.
In this role, you will work alongside and support our 4 experienced GPs and our Lead Nurse, contributing to the delivery of quality, patient-centred care within a collaborative general practice environment.
We welcome applications from both experienced practice nurses and graduate nurses who are passionate about patient care, eager to learn, and looking to develop their skills within a supportive general practice setting.
Nursing tasks are varied and examples include:
- Triage and management of acutely unwell patients
- Immunisations of children and adults
- Wound care
- Health assessments including workplace medicals
- Assisting with minor procedures
- Results notification and patient education
- Cold chain management
Our ideal candidate will have qualities, skills and experience including:
- Current Registered Nurse/or Enrolled Nurse AHPRA registration
- Previous experience working in general practice and/or emergency preferable
- A warm and friendly personality with a commitment to working as a part of a team of professionals
- Dedication to the provision of the highest standard of nursing care with exceptional attention to detail
- Flexibility with workdays and hours: Our clinic is open Monday to Friday 8:30am - 6:00pm, and Saturday mornings 8:15am - 11:45am. Availability to work across these hours is ideal.
- Proficient computer skills (previous experience with General Practice software not essential but highly regarded)
- Solid communication and time management skills
- Ability to take on a dynamic role, working across CDM and treatment room
