Highlands Veterinary Hospital is expanding our team and we are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Nurse to join the family 3 days per week (immediate start).
We're a well-established, community-focused small animal practice located in the beautiful Southern Highlands. Our team prides itself on delivering exceptional care to our patients and their humans in a warm and skilled environment.
About the Role:
This is a varied and hands-on role, offering a great mix of client service and clinical nursing duties. You will:
- Assist the veterinarian during consultations and surgical procedures
- Monitor anaesthesia and provide support in surgical preparation and recovery
- Provide care and monitoring for hospitalised patients
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the clinic and treatment areas
- Support with general admin, reception and greeting clients when needed.
- One day per week will be working at reception
About You:
- A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing is essential
- Ability to confidently work unsupervised
- Confident in monitoring anaesthesia and handling animals in a clinical setting
- Confident in training/overseeing junior nurses
- Friendly, professional, and client-focused
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- A genuine passion for animal care and wellbeing
- Australian citizenship is mandatory for this position
