Short-term Payroll Officer contract supporting a fortnightly payroll for approximately 200-250 employees, with a mostly casual workforce. The role will focus on payroll processing, roster and timesheet approvals, discrepancy checking, employee queries and award interpretation.

Description

- Process employee payroll with accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax and superannuation regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date employee records and payroll systems.
- Address payroll queries and provide explicit solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure payroll data accuracy.
- Prepare and distribute payslips and associated documents.
- Assist with payroll reconciliations and audits as required.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in payroll data.

Profile

A successful Payroll Officer should have:





- Experience with payroll systems and software.
- Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Experience using Oracle/Netsuite (preferable)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Clear communication skills for liaising with employees and teams.

Job Offer
