Our client is a well-established and growing West Australian resources organisation seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join its corporate team based in Perth.
Description
- Support the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting, accounting, and compliance activities.
- Manage month-end and year-end accounting processes, ensuring the integrity of financial data and reporting outputs.
- Maintain robust financial controls and contribute to the continuous improvement of finance systems, processes, and reporting capabilities.
- Assist with taxation, statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across corporate and site-based teams to resolve financial and operational issues.
- Support the administration and optimisation of financial systems and master data to ensure productive business operations.
- Assist with contract administration, governance, and financial risk management activities.
- Monitor developments in accounting standards and legislation, ensuring the organisation remains compliant with relevant requirements.
Profile
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
- A relevant degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CA or CPA qualification (or working towards one).
- Pronto ERP system experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders.
