Are you a highly skilled Civil Engineer with a passion for delivering infrastructure that makes a lasting impact on communities? As our Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key leadership role in the planning, design, procurement and delivery of significant civil infrastructure projects that enhance safety, connectivity and liveability across the municipality.

In this role, you will lead the delivery of complex civil infrastructure projects, primarily involving roads, drainage and bridge assets, ensuring alignment with Council's Capital Works Program and strategic objectives. You will provide expert project management oversight across the entire project lifecycle, driving successful outcomes through effective planning, stakeholder engagement, risk management and contract administration. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards, while contributing to the sustainable growth and development of the community.

You will make an impact by

- Lead the planning, design, procurement and delivery of complex civil infrastructure projects, primarily roads, drainage and bridge assets, across the full project lifecycle in alignment with Council’s capital works program and strategic objectives.
- Managing project scope, budgets, timelines and quality outcomes and reporting on performance, risks and variations.
- Providing expert engineering advice and technical leadership to staff,



consultants and contractors.
- Building strong relationships with community members, Councillors, authorities and key stakeholders.
- Driving continuous improvement through effective risk management, innovation and best practice.

Success in this role looks like leading the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects, achieving positive outcomes for stakeholders and the community, and championing innovative approaches that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of project delivery.

What you will bring

- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Current registration, or eligibility for registration, as a Professional Engineer in Victoria under the Skilled Engineers Registration Act 2019.
- Significant experience delivering civil infrastructure projects, including design coordination, procurement, contract administration and construction supervision.
- Proven financial management skills: cost estimating, budget control and reporting.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Collaborative leadership style with experience mentoring project teams.
- Current Victorian driver licence. Desirable: experience with asset management systems and project controls tools.
