About The Role:

Are you an experienced project manager looking for an prospect to deliver projects that have a genuine impact on the community?

This key role is responsible for leading the planning, delivery and completion of complex and strategic infrastructure projects in accordance with Council’s Project Management Framework.

In this role you will work with a diverse group of stakeholders within the City of Marion, service providers and community groups, to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely and sustainably while achieving defined outcomes, and delivering value for money aligned to Council’s strategic objectives.

You will manage exciting and diverse infrastructure projects.

In this high profile community orientated role you will fulfill project management life cycles that includes.

- Project Planning and Initiation

- Project Delivery and Execution

- Contract Management and Value Realisation

- Risk and Issue Management

- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

- Reporting and Governance

About You:

You will need substantial professional experience in developing and delivering complex infrastructure / construction projects and have a strong appreciation of community involvement where consultation with the broader community, cultural groups, and other key stakeholders is paramount.

It is expected you will have Tertiary qualifications to a minimum of degree level in Project Management, Engineering, Civil Construction, or a similar discipline

Your toolkit will include highly developed project management experience,



including business acumen an extensive understanding of project management principles, practices, and processes and strong commercial knowledge and experience in management of construction contracts.

You will also possess detailed knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, design standards and codes of practice and be capable of identifying risks and hazards and implementing controls to manage project risks through the project lifecycle.

The position is offered on a full-time 6-month contract basis and is classified at Level 8, with a starting salary of $137,729.00-$147,145.00 per annum plus Super & Benefits.
